Sleep & Unconsciousness

Apparently there was errata for the oni .. d&d faq page which I forget link for.

As for durations, I'm going with p278:
Unless otherwise noted, a power is instantaneous and has no lasting effect. The two types of durations are conditional and sustained.

Now, if that means a (no save) unconscious effect is instantaneous, it still means they're instantaneously unconscious, not asleep (regardless of sleep keyword) ... any means of removing a mundane case of unconsciousness will also work.

Well, the oni errata eliminates (at least one of) the 'no save' situation(s).

However, the Conditional Durations/Save Ends rule on p 278 is what I needed to see (well, reminded of) to convince me. Any instance of a power causing sleep is really magical sleep. Only a save will end it.

It's just really frustrating with this new terse writing style of the new rules. :P

For what it is worth, Marc from Cust Serv says:

Thank you for contacting us. That is a good question. When someone is knocked unconscious by a sleep spell, it is a magical effect that can only be ended by a successful save.
