[Slightly OT] Too many beautiful women at GenCon!

...except that the unapproachable supermodel is actually not that good-looking. The women in the pics were all realistically attractive, by which I mean they don't look like impossibly tall rail-thin freaks of nature.

Go to a gym. Odds are you'll see tons of women whom you wish were at your gaming table, and in fact look a lot better than most models.

I think that Claudio's wife is a much better poster-girl for realistic good looks than models are (and yes, Claudio, I saw the DM fudge the roll behind his screen )

And just what the hell's a cheerleader?

I thought that Claudio's wife, Paula, and all the other women I saw at Gen Con seemed more natural than the super models. There is sometimes an artificiality to models that make me wonder if they were raised in laboratory vats.

I have chatted with several women at Gen Con throughout the years. In general, they struck me as self-confident and more concerned about the business of living as opposed to an image.

Substance should triump over style.

Claudio, I hope some Brazilian toothpaste company decides to give Paula a modeling contract. She has a great smile. (Okay, Claudio, how much did you bribe the DM?

I don't like super-models either. They look like they wouldn't survive a bumpy car ride. Yeah gym chicks is what I was comparing game girls too. Athletic, nice skin, cute face, straight teeth, no-gum smile. And a FACT to insecure/shy gamers out there. Trust me, approachability relies solely on YOU, not the chick. I've seen asswhipe slobs score hot women. Get your attitude straight, cut to the nitty gritty, go up and tell her what you want, and don't make excuses for your desires as a man! You'd be so surprised how well walking up to a chick and just saying "Hey, your super hot, I want to buy you a coffee(or some refreshment) How bout it?" If you can say that without obvious fear on your face or without studdering, you'd be amazed how many "ok" you'll get. I told the same thing to my super-shy Japanese friend who wanted to date american women, and within a week he was dating a cutie.
