Slip o' the tongue

I sometimes give out DCs, I sometimes don't (I'm kinda back and forth). The bad things start when I say "okay, you nailed that orcs 16 AC... I mean (players, laughing).... oh, nevermind. Roll for damage."

I had an NPC named Haddock. I didn't know that it was the name of a fish. Big laughs all around. After the laughing I told them "Thats what I get for naming the bad guy after a fish."
This wasn't supposed to be figured out for about another 10 levels or so. I know he caught it but I don't know about the others. I kept playing him the same. His new name is not Chaddock.
