Smallville 10-13 SPOILERS

One a deserted road, somebody found the shot Clark, raced him to the hospital, and they've finished operating on him and have him checked into his room, in TWENTY MINUTES' TIME? I'm all for fast-paced episodes, but that's just too much.
That would be Jor-El inhabiting Lionel's body. When Clark was put under the defibilator, Jor-El awoke from his slumber inside Lionel and rushed to Clark, then to the caves and activated the transportation device to the Fortress of Solitude, where Clark got his powers back.

I enjoyed the looks on Jonathan and Martha's faces when they saw Lana with Clark at six thirty in the morning and realized what it meant. At least they used protection and I agreed that Clark should have stayed human for at least one more episode. I believe that Clark did a power leap onto the missle and crashed down with it. Now that he has his powers back maybe he will do more power leaps that will eventually lead up to his learning to fly.

As for the time factor, remember that they are on not on soap opera time. I would have thought that the episode ending with Clark's death would have been more fun.

I agree they should have strung out Clark being human at least one one week, the effect of loosing that humanity and becoming super could have been more dramtic from all parties, Lana, Lex, and Clark.

Clark fully human one more week, dieing at end of episode, one episode with him dead and something bad happening that people need to deal with without Clark, and then Clark coming back at the beginning of the next episode.

No, I'm referring earlier than that, when he was rushed to the hospital in the first place. The doctor said, "We won't know anything till we open him up," then the next shot is him lying in the hospital bed, Lana whispering sweet nothings, clark opens eyes, smiles, and then the EKG OF DEATH begins.

Assuming they were telling the tale in chrono order, Lion-EL wakes up, busts out, then super-speeds to save Clark.

BTW, there's one thing that makes me think Lionel is truly gone; Jor-El explains to John Kent two seasons ago, that the human body can't take the stresses of Kryptonian powers. I doubt Lionel would be back to normal and feeling fine after having done the super-speed act.

Then again, it took an episode or two for John Kent to start feeling the effects, too...

Enjoyable episode. I don't feel like the writers have fully convinced me of why Clark doesn't want to confide in Lana. It wouldn't take much, but I want more dialogue on that.

I felt the episode was a bit rushed, too.

I wish Chloe had gotten to see the super-jump/flight bit. That would have wowed her socks off...

Danm seems like a missed a good episode.
I only caught the last few minutes with Clark and Chloe in the loft. Clark had a terrified look on his face when they were talking about telling Lana his secret. To me it doesn't seem to fit the character to act that cowardly towards a dilema, But that is just his humanity coming through.

So far I've really liked the new season. I liked how they mentioned the side effect of yet another meteor shower on Smallville, as in the creation of new freaks. A nice little add-in.

Other than that, I enjoyed the events of the episode, and they've got me curious about Lionel's fate, now, as well as who the "loved one" is that'll suffer. John Kent? Chloe?

Chloe and Pa Kent were the two that came to my mind as well.
Killing John would keep the show in line with the movies a bit more...
At the same time, killing off Chloe patches up one more leak in the secret identity.

I don't want to see either end up dead... but I am certainly curious now!

One of the most frustrating unrealistic things in television and film is the amount of time they spend trying to restart someone's heart. In the real world in an emergency room, it commonly runs to more than an hour, from injections to the defibrilator to manual heart massage. On the screen people get about 3 or 4 defibrilator hits and that's it, time of death is called.

I know it's for dramatic purposes, but it's like if you saw a show where people played 20 minute D&D games: you know it's simply not right, and it makes no freakin' sense each time you see it.

Now who's to say that "Jor-El" is really Jor-El? Could the appearance of the followers of Zod and Brainiac mean something more sinister is afoot with our dear Lionel's possesion? Just a thought............
