Smallville season finale *SPOILERS*

First Post
I just watched it last night...

I didn't expect that at all. Clark destroying the ship...which in turn kills the unborn Kara. Clark using red Kryptonite to dull the pain. And then there's poor Lex.

Wow! I'm stunned.

And Zod being the voice of Jor-el. Cool!

I want more damn it!

Well, nobody ever said this was going to be Supergirl. That was merely our supposition. One the writers knew we'd make, of course...

I know. Still, I did think it was a cool idea.

Another solid ending to a solid show. It's still following the Buffy formula, but that is not a bad thing (Buffy left town at the end of season 2 just as Clark did). It does have two things going for it that most other shows don't: An AWESOME villain. Lex and Lionel are fantastic in every scene.

I'm hoping that they keeping focusing on the creepy Luthors for the following seasons. Watching how Lex is going to eventually fall in contrast to Clark's rise is the main reason why I watch. :)

While not the best ep of the season, that goes to the Reeves guest appearance one, it was very entertaining and left plenty of doors open for next year.

4 out of 5 stars.

Okay -

** SPOILERS ABOUND IN CASE YOU DIDN"T ALREADY NOTICE THAT BY THE PERSON WHO STARTED THE THREAD **

I turned awya from my tv for a bit and when I looked back, Lex was going down in the plane. I don't think I missed _that_ much by getting up for a second ..

But, did they explain what happened there? Or did he just wake up and find it empty and going down?

If it was left purposely unknown, that's cool too.. I just want to make sure I am following what I am supposed to have followed :)

I'll reserve my comments until I know whether or not that was something answered / not. :)

You didn't miss a thing. Lex gets up from an apparent drug induced slumber, stumbles around looking for his new bride and finds no one on board, the cockpit abandoned and heading towards water. It was a kinda dissorienting scene because it happened so fast...

He actually doesn't seem evil to me. Just wants what he thinks is best for his son. He is uninformed.

It's possible he thought Earth was still inhabited by semi-primate savages. In which case he could want Kal-El to shepherd them, 2001 Monolith-style.

I was kind of sad to see the space ship destroyed but it was cool how it was destoryed. I'm wondering if Lex's wife betrayed him or if she was kidnapped. I wanted so much to tell Chloe to wake up. She knew that Clark had a major crush on Lana so why is she so bent out of shape about seeing them kiss? Granted, Lana or Clark should have mentioned to her that they decided to try the dating scene.

Argh...I can't wait until next season...
