Snakes on a Plane (no spoilers please!)

Previewed the almight SoaP tonight. You know the send-up. Boy sees criminal mastermind kill a prosecuting attorney, Federal agent needs boy to testify and ends up taking him on a commercial flight, criminal mastermind manages to get a huge load of poisonous snakes and a chemical to incite them on the plane so it will crash (it must be REALLY hard to get bombs on anymore!) It's a hokey premise, but fun. This movie is fun.

A.) I enjoyed it. It's got some seriously funny moments and manages to take itself just seriously enough not to be a total farce.
B.) It's an almost entirely predictable movie. People who you think will die will die, characters that a meant to live will live. You know the routine.
C.) There is some over-the-top stuff, which I feel was added in response to fan expectations months ago. I predict a few people will walk out of the first snake attack sequence which has some seriously in-bad-taste moments. My wife and I were stunned at first, then couldn't stop laughing for many minutes.
D.) There is no satisfying conclusion with the antagonist, the story line just drops.

That's the short of it. If you're in the mood for something fun, this movie is your ticket. Be aware that it is a gamble, I predict a lot of people will really hate this picture too. At it's very heart, it's just stupid.

I was realy supprised when I saw the preview a few months ago that explained the plot... I'd though that it was just Samuel L. Jackson vs. alot of snakes.

Are there any good snakes? The kind that see the evil of their ways and then stand up to their reptilian brethren?
LOL!

What about snakes that were just born good, not like their eeeeevil reptilian brethren, and learn to use twin scimitars and then... wait... never mind.

I heard the script was based on a short story by Proust. Is there much discussion on the inherent sinfulness of man, with the snakes as symbollic reference to Adam and Eve being expelled from Eden?

Dammit! I said NO SPOILERS! geesh.

Pretty much the point of the movie, as far as I could tell, was a setup for Samuel L. Jackson to say, in a manner only SLJ possibly could,
"Mutha #*@&ing snakes on a mutha #*@&ing plane!"
... with all the seriousness SLJ fans would expect. Quality B-moviedom!

When that line came, half the theater I was in called it out with him.

The audience made the movie one of the most fun I've ever been to.
