Sneak attack on an Eldritch Blast?

Sidekick

First Post
Just like the label says. Can a Warlock/Rogue get Sneak attack damage on their Eldritch blast?

My player and I are confused about whether the blasts touch attack allows for the ‘precision based’ damage of the Eldritch Blast.

Thanks in advance,

Yup. What he said.
You mean "she".

:D

A warlock's eldritch blast requires an attack roll and is, according to CArc a "weaponlike" spell or effect. As such is benefits of sneak attack.

You'd have to be within 30 ft., just like any other ranged sneak attack, right? (Unless of course you had a feat or ability to extend the range...does one exist?).

Yes, all the normal Sneak Attack rules apply. 30ft range limit, target must be denied their Dex bonus, usual immunities. Remember that it does have to have an attack roll, so Eldritch Chain will still work but Eldritch Cone will not.

The only feat I can recall that can increase the SA range limit is Crossbow Sniper from PHB2. But that only works with crossbows, suprisingly.

And the sneak attack damage is the same type of damage as the Eldritch Blast, which is also nice.

Cheers,

Yeah. A Rogue 10/Sorcerer 1 can make about 5d6+1d3 cold damage from a mere 0-level ray of frost!
