Chris, now that we have you here, a lot of the nay-sayers are wondering the following:

Will Green Ronin's Dragon Age ttRPG offer more than just another medieval fantasy world?

This is what worries most of us, me included. The BioWare website stresses things that are a given in tabletop games (such as affecting the world through your choices), leaving us with very little to grow enthusiastic about.

I think you can easily curb a lot of negative feelings if you throw us a bit of a bone here.

Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom. :p

Seriously, with a timer like that, I was hoping for either the next Pathfinder or, get this..., Dragon Fist. I have no idea what Dragon Age is.

Apparently there's a prequel novel? Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne?

Anyone know anything about it?

Amazon link.

All the info on it that's come out has shown it to be just as good or bad as the really cheesy WotC novels for D&D or MtG that used to be published (before they all became series).

Takyris, all I'll say is that I humbly disagree with you. I'm a voracious cRPG player, and there's very little about Bioware that I enjoy.

I put dissapointed, and I put it because I do know what Dragon Age is. It's another boring crappy RPG just like every other game that Bioiware has done in their feeble attempts to win back their Baldur's Gate glory. Protip: none of their games are at those standards, and so long as they keep their team, none will. Bioware didn't make the Baldur's Gate series, Black Isle did. They've just been claiming the glory to sell their trash.

Oh wait, now I have tabletop rules to play in cliche generic medieval Europe. That's new and fresh, right...?

You want to make a tabletop setting/rules based on an RPG? Wake me up when they make a ruleset for Arcanum or Morrowind P&P. You know, something unique.

Yeah! KotOR and Mass Effect were terrible... no wait... they were both made of awesome.
