So...did Dragon wow you?

Would you purchase a subscription to Dragon as of now?

I enjoyed reading the articles but...

1) I thought Dragon was cr@p when it was paper, I only ever bought Dungeon.
2) I never buy digital-only documents.

Grossly underwhelmed would be the most positive impression I have with the first week of E-Drag under my belt. I understand that we will receive articles throughout the month and get a compilation at the end of the month. But there hasn't been a single thing that actually generated any interest. If this was the best launch that WotC could come up with, they need to re-think their plan.

I agree with those who've passed on the kudo's for Pathfinder. Its a little pricey but at least Paizo is not disappointing the way WotC is.

Plus it isn't helping that Paizo's PAthfinder is RAWKING! If issue 2 is the key indicator of things to come I could care less about what WOTC does with Dungeon or Dragon.

Agreed. Paizo has really come into their own of late. Their Pathfinder and Game Mastery products truly inspire me. I can't say I've felt that same level of inspiration from WotC in quite some time (sorry to say, WotC).

Then again, I've played for enough years that it takes something truly new to inspire me these days.

YMMV, of course.

Did I miss something? What Dragon? All I've seen is the Death Knight ecology article, and one article can hardly be considered to be the whole magazine...

Where are the comics?
Realmslore?
Bazaar of the Bizarre?
Chainmail?

Design and Development articles are nice, but they are not really what I want from Dragon magazine content. Fortress of the Yuan-Ti web enhancement should not be considered a part of the Dragon magazine, because, well, web enhancements are web enhancements. At best, it should be in Dungeon.

Overall, we've seen nothing yet. I'll reply to this topic again after they post at least 10 different articles for #360.

Same problem here... It's the 7th Oct, that's about a bit less than 1/4th of the month. If the pace doesn't increase, this online Dragon will be *very* thin. And I guess ads and 'First Views' for non-WotC-stuff may be gone as well.

If it keeps that pace and is really that thin... screw it. But they have some preview time left to show their worth!

Cheers, LT.

I subscribed to a couple of years of Dragon, something like 10 and 20 years ago, or so, but have seen no need to get it since. I also bought the odd copy in he last ten years which reinforced my decision not to subscribe.

Dragon just does not do it for me. And a single article is not a magazine, in print or out. I am just worried that Dungeon will receive the same half-hearted treatment online as Dragon apparently is.

Quoted for truth.

No online content can even touch Pathfinder. Or even game mastery modules at this point.....
