Yeah, it's early yet to really call it one way or the other. It would be great to see St. Kargoth (my favorite DK) statted out for 4e, I hope we see it. The cut & paste Deathknight cover bugs me though and I'm wondering what the elf image was originally supposed to be used for...

Glad I'm not the only one that thought they pasted that elf onto an old deathknight painting ala colorforms scribble method. If that's the kind of hack job mentality they're approaching this with, they can keep it.

Where was the "Wow, they pulled the license from Paizo for THAT?"

Thats my vote.

Case

My sentiments exactly. I just finished running my group through the first issue of Pathfinder, and I have to say, Paizo is spanking the pants of WotC at this point.

Hard to feel much at this point, since we've gotten, what, 2 articles (sorry 3, inspiration for 4e I guess could count as one)? That's enough for maybe 6 printed pages, not counting advertisements.

I am, however, eager to see what Demonomicon:Graz'zt looks like.

What I am NOT eager for is a magazine's worth of single articles slowly posted over the course of a month. For some reason, seeing an occasional new article the moment it's approved is irritating, compared to the whole month being released at once.

I'm glad for Paizo. They really added a lot to the game with their adventure paths. The artwork of Dungeon 150 was enough to make me want to collect them all for Savage Tide. It's the single best rendition of Demogorgon I've seen in all of the editions of DnD.

A related question: what will the format of digital Dragon be?

Will there be a full PDF which collects all the articles for a month, or will we have just seperate articles?

If there will be a monthly PDF comiplation, I might consider subsrcibing (or at least giving it a try), at least until I can print for free at the office, even if only in B&W.

Well, each of the articles right now has a Download option at the bottom, but the PDF's aren't exactly stellar. The one for Ecology of the Death Knight has a Spoiler Warning that, when clicked, tries to connect to the wizards site. So they still have some kinks to work out.

I didn't use Dragon that much, but it was useful to have archived in print. Digitallly ... it's just too hard to read/use long articles.

The really valuable purchase to me was Dungeon, and I really have ahard time seeing how an online adevnture article can match the utility of print hardcopy. Yeah, maybe they'll provide a downloadable print pdf, but then I bear all the printing costs, which overtime can become significant. But since we haven't seen a Dungeon submission yet, we'll see.

Pathfinder is definitely a good product, though.
