The Duct Tape system of 4d6 rolls and Ability modifier repartition: oh and arrays for some NPCs, 4d6 for others.
I really got out the ducttape for this campaign - first I really prefer rolls, but with a prospective Seven! players the gaps would be to big. So after rolling everyone added up bonuses,
I averaged total bonuses and then each player got a plus or minus to one stat based on how far their total modifiers were from the average. it worked out to between a + 3 to any stat below 15 and a -2 to one players the highest stat. The average modifier total was +8
If that isn't a duct tape system I dont know what is.
