So, how stupid do you have to be to be a githyanki?

Yeah. Survival is for the weak.

Well, from everything I've read on them they seem to be surviving quite well. Now, imagine how well they'd be doing if they had healing abilities, they would rule the universe.

Added something for teh win.

Anyway... Dungeon ~100 (or the corresponding Dragon) mentioned an NPC healer class the githyanki have, IIRC.

(Says the male Gith to the female) But baby, we have to do it. We can't heal -- we've got to outbreed them....

Of course, since they're on a timeless plane, the gestation period for a child lasts forever--which is lucky for the mom, I guess, since she won't be able to recuperate from the birth.

At 9th level or so, a githyanki gets plane shift, but all those lower level gith are kind of screwed. Maybe they have a portal to the prime somewhere where the injured can go to heal up.

They don't age. And, according to 2e and the Incursion story-arc, they have incubators hidden on other planes where they have their broods.

I think the biggest source of githyanki healing would be slaves. The slaves can worship gods, after all, and githyanki would probably target low-level clerics to be kidnapped and bound to a life of endless healing.

Demiurge out.
