reveal said:Ya, I don't think this thread is really fair. There's a whole subdiscipline of the Psychometabolism discipline called Healing. Obviously, there are psionic methods of healing yourself.
Felon said:And equally obvious, while githyanki are covered in a core rulebook, psionics aren't and a lot of folks don't use'em. That leaves a whole race of warriors walking around with hand on their swords and another inserted into a wound pinching an artery shut. Of course, even with a psionic healer class, it's safe to say there are probably githyanki too poor to get a good spot in line.

Demiurge out.
reveal said:Nowhere in the Monster Manual does it mention that Githyanki can not heal themselves nor does it say they do not benefit from the healing subschool of magic. If someone plays only the core books, they wouldn't know that the Githyanki don't do these things.
For non-casters of healing spells who also don't have UMD and still want to heal themselves while in combat, yeah.Felon said:buying healing potions by the gallon.
Felon said:No, they would just know that they don't have clerics, and that's where lion's share of magical healing is derived from. After that, you're looking at druids, which are somewhat improbable in an environment without much in the way of...environment. Then after that, you're scraping the bottom of the barrel with bards and buying healing potions by the gallon.
reveal said:it does not say in the Monster Manual that they don't have clerics.
I see. You're talking about clerics without a deity (per PHB)? Yeah, going by the MM only, it appears you can make a case for those. Possibly even others, depending on your interpretation. (Not that most githyanki, with a racial -2 to Wis [and +2 LA], will make very good clerics in any case, but...)MM 3.5 said:The githyanki have no deity but instead pay homage to a lich-queen.
