So, how would YOU make a ECL 100 character?

With 100 ECL you could probably be a Dragon Ascendent Great Wyrm Prysmatic Dragon (or Force Dragon) and still add on 21+ class levels. You might be able to do it more than once (21+ Clr & 21+ Wiz, for example) although I doubt it. What would be the ECL for such a dragon? I think the most powerful core ones (in the MM) are around ECL 50 once they reach Great Wyrm status.

[Edit] I just looked over the Force / Prysmatic Dragaons. Yikes! I had forgotten how powerful those creatures were, even at Wyrmling level. Okay. How about an Old Force Dragon with levels in Druid (wildshape, divine casting) and maybe Rogue (evasion, sneak attack)? Oh, and add on both the Paragon and Psuedonatural templates. That should be enough, I think. On second thought, the two templates are probably enough as it is. Up the age category by one (to Very Old) and it should be near ECL 100. The epic level casting should allow for creating a spell that will allow for transformation into a humanoid of Small to Large size at will, right? Or perhaps a Bardic Prysmatic Dragon? [/Edit]

I fold the paper in half
then half again
then half again and make it disappear. The character is now complete, whenever you ask to see the character I shall make it reappear then disappear.
His excuse is "Having Pelor over for a tea party"
after level 30 theres not much point in anything except for playing a paragon tressym barbarian frenzied berserking sorcerer rage mage archmage divine oracle druid dragonshaper

Paladin 90/ Cavalier 10 with a Holy Devastator Lance, Great Smiting x 59= +5310 damage smite, on a charge +26, 550... Then I would go smite the Abyss...

Or a really big hulking hurler that throws worlds at people =D

The bigger question is, what would you fight?

The only CR 100 thing that I can htink of is the Sphinx, from some issue of dragon. Why they decided it should be CR 100 is beyond me.

I guess you could always make 100th level NPCs, but I would get really tired of making 100th level NPCs really fast.

With things like that, I doubt there's much in the way of things you can fight. You can either kill everything, or not. Given the disparity in ranges of Attack Bonus between different characters, with the magic stuff you can afford, you'll either have some characters that can hit it every single time, or you'll have characters that need a natural 20 to do so.

So, you make stuff like that less of an issue, with more roleplaying, so that their challenges are based more on their decisions, rather than how well they attempt them (if you can just assume they're going to do whatever.)

Just the CR modifier. What's the difference? Because I've obviously gotten confused.

ECL is for calculating level as a player. CR is just calculating threat level for xp. Combat threat and PC level value can be two significantly different figures for non PH races.
