So I DMed a bunch of stewardesses on the weekend... Now with Story Hour Action!

I really enjoyed the link to the setting. I might have to yank the character ideas as NPC's if you don't mind. I have yet to DM for a female (I have just started DMing about two years ago) but have role-played with many. They always bring stuff to the table that us men don't think about. It should be interesting to DM for a group of all females. I hope you handle it well. Have fun and please let us know how everything goes.

Okay, what do I have to do to get invited to this game? For god's sake man! At least tape it! Prefferrably by hidden camera.
DOWN BOY! Calm down and remember one important thing...

I fergot. :)

I always like how the "feel" of a game changes when you add a woman or two to a campaign. I would be interested to see how it would work for an all-girl group. As I stated before, if they are ever in Salt Lake City, a space is always open at my table.

In all the games I played with female player, I found out that they are the most bloodthirsty players out there. Kinda like kill first and ask questions later. Funny.

Okay, so the game went yesterday and it was an absolute hoot. The ladies picked up on everything immediately, and had no trouble with the math or the basic concepts.

It just warmed my heart when halfway through I said, "Okay, the creature's terrifying appearance scares you all so much you're going to take a minus-two penalty on all your actions," and the Columbian/Quebecer girl says, "Fine, I'll up my Power Attack by two so I'm still doing the same damage. This bastard's got a low AC, anyway." Only with a French accent. Hee.

Strong support for my wife's theory that there's a market of late-twenties/early thirties folk (many of whom are women) who aren't getting enough problem-solving/intellectual stimulation in their day-to-day lives, and will jump on an opportunity to do so with both feet.

The girl playing the ranger went out and bought a fur hat to wear during the session to get "in character". For the next game she wants to get one of those life-size plush dogs as her wolf companion, Molly.

Anyway, they LOVED it and are badgering me to run another. Their boyfriends apparently are jealous.

:D

I'm planning on writing up a Story Hour to detail the misadventures of the gang... keep yer eyes peeled!

This is a crazy DMing week for me. Barsoom on Thursday, a game at a FLGS on Saturday, stewardesses on Sunday and Barsoom again on Wednesday. Four games in seven days! Woot!

Sounds like fun, and great luck on your part to have so much gaming action! Our regular game has been plagued with scheduling problems to the point that I had to drive to Chicago to play any games recently!
