So sick of getting damaged books!

I am trying to figure out if it just the lazy workers in my area or if you all have this issue. Every single hardcover RPG book I order, no matter where from, comes damaged. The most recent being the Pathfinder Core Rulebook I ordered from Barnes and Noble. I have tried to go exchange it for a mint one at two stores and theirs are all non-mint as well from all the browsing of them. Now I have to go through the annoying mail exchange process again.

So, I am curious, how many of you have noticed this happening to all your orders now?

...Yes, my PF binding is bad as well. I have an old Chessex Dragonskin (vinyl book cover) that I put on a book when I take it out of the house, but it doesn't fit my PF book.

You could try a few things:
1) Request your book be printed in the USA, instead of Botswana.
2) Be ready to pay a lot more for your mint book.
3) Get with the 21st century and get an e-book.
4) Wish you were still in the 20th century when the Internet is down, and you realize you stored your e-book in The Cloud.

I have not been pleased with the binding on the D&D 5e books. The players handbook I picked up last year had some wavy pages and color ink bleed, as well.

3) Get with the 21st century and get an e-book.

I have printed rpgs going back to the mid-70s that I can still just pick up and read. Many of them are worth hundreds of dollars now, even though I paid $10-15 for them back then.

I can't resell e-books, and the PDF standard will eventually become obsolete. If they were 10% the price of a printed book, I might buy some, but I can't justify spending more money on a PDF than I would spend if I went to the bookstore and bought a trade paperback.
