So This Just Arrived...

Just now, a heavy package arrived at my door. Inside is Sasquatch Game Studios Primeval Thule campaign setting for D&D 5th Edition. It's a full-colour hardcover, about 270 pages. I haven't had chance to delve into it yet, but I can report that it certainly smells of book. Sasquatch, as you may know, produced Princes of the Apocalypse for WotC. Thule's a little different to that - it's a setting inspired by the likes of Conan, featuring Great Old Ones and dark magic. It's barbaric, savage, and mysterious. Oh, and primeval. Below I've posted a few photos of the book, since I literally just got it and haven't been able to read it yet!

I agree. I'm actually a little gunshy because I don't really know the legality of the adaptation. I'm certainly not going to post the TSGB version, though I strongly encourage everybody interested in Sword & Sorcery type campaigns to drop the $10 it takes to buy the adventure/setting PDF.

You can posts snippets of or pictures of a thing you have bought, within reason. Heck, I posted photos of a couple of pages up above. Just use common sense. :)

Greetings All...

If you want to see a sample character narrative, Sasquatch has one on their web site. here's a link:

http://www.sasquatchgamestudio.com/5e-narratives-preview/

You need to click on the sample pages to get a readable version.

Bill W.

Nice. Thank you. On a side note, when I see "D&D since '76" and the name Bill W, my mind automatically went to one of my favorite artists of all time. Not that I know you're the same person or not ;)

Loving all things Thule.

Just can't wait until the Fantasy Grounds stuff hits the street. Chomping at the bit to get rolling. :p

Hmm. I can't seem to figure out how to get the pictures I want to appear properly in the post, so I guess that's out for me at least for now.

There is a free preview pdf of the setting/adventures (it's both in the same book) on the xoth.net website at http://xoth.net/publishing/xp1/xp1_preview.pdf. And my link above leads to the page where I uploaded my conversion of the sorcerer class.

Here's the previews linked to above by @D&Dsince76. Out of 276 pages, how I managed to randomly pick the exact same two pages to take a photo of, I don't know. The Force, I guess.

I've been playing in a 5E Primeval Thule campaign - it's a lot of fun. (And the two adventures released for it so far are really good). I have the 13th Age version of the book, and the pdf of the 5E volume. The binding is absolutely gorgeous in my book. (I make not of it because most binding isn't, especially of the 5E D&D books).

Cheers!

You have yours already Merrick? Still waiting in Sydney for mine.
