First off: The array is purchasable with point buy. If you use the array, all you are doing is using the point buy already bought for you. There is no array vs. point buy. Same thing, unless your DM says "array only" for some reason.

Remember that the curing power of healing spells are roughly half of what they used to be

Out of curiosity, what are you comparing this to? Because healing is extremely similar to 3e, and 4e is difficult to compare with 5e at all in these sorts of things.
