'Zelandor' campaign? Interesting. I wonder if that's the 'generic setting'. Interesting that Ravenloft is mentioned there.
I think this might be an image from someone's playtesting. It might be the home campaign of one of the D&D design staff.

If they do what they say they're going to do and better define each class' role within the party, can I dare to hope that as a corollary effect they'll finally do away with multi-classing?

Can I dare to hope? :)

This made me laugh.

"Ooooh, check out my sexy cleric! I want to eat your baby!"

My guesses?

Fighter: Modified heavily, I hope, and all indications point to this,

Cleric: Undoubtably in, but I expect some change.

Wizard: In, though I bet it will be changed.

Sorcerer: Scrapped in favor of an expanded Warlock

Monk: Gone, folded into fighter

Paladin: Modified into prestige class

Rogue: There, but hopefully expanded and improved

Ranger: Most likely gone, folded into fighter, rogue, or a prestige class

Bard: Probably heavily modified, but I imagine some kind of entertainer/aristocrat/diplomat type will be there, even if it is not called bard.

Some new class called the Warlord huh? Interesting...

My guess is that they'll have done away with the concept of PrC, and instead focus on having feats, and "talent paths" leading to similar capabilities.

I hope

Wizard / Sorcerer: Merged, with options to play either fast and loose with or with preparation and study. These two classes have the same skill points, hit dice, saves, attack and spell list (and should have the same class features...), no need at all for them to be separate.

Druid / Cleric: I'd love to see the system flexible to the point where one class can handle both. Mostly because it would hint that different clerics could be significantly different from each other.

Fighter / Barbarian / Ranger: Ditto cleric / druid.

Paladin and Monk I can still envision as base classes, because their more unique. The same goes for Rogue and Bard.

So:

Fighter, Priest, Mage, Rogue as the 4 basic classes.

Bard, Monk, Paladin as the oddballs... psion should be here to round 'em out. Ah, well :(

I forsee her burnt to cinders in a wickerman. I do forsee cleric having a general divine influenced shapeshifting ability available to them though.

Ditto. The one thing that 2ed did better than any other edition, imho, was priests. I'd like to see 4e manage something similar.
