Spear Fighting Prc?

Hay everyone

I was wondering if there are any awesome Prc's out there for a spear fighter?
I have a player in my group that wants to take the road, or something like the dragoon from FF.

I have searched my stuff i have and cannot locate anything, any ideas would be cool.

Storm Lord is pretty danged cool. It's primarily for Druids and Clerics who take up the spear.

I thought about this one and I personally like that Prc, but the character is a Neutral good character, so that would really not work due to the diety

I wrote a spear throwing/fighting prestige class into the Quintessential Barbarian II.

It's quite nasty, and based off warriors of Celtic myth.

What alignment is the storm deity in your campaign? Birthright's, Cuiracaen, is CG, and it maps over pretty well.

I think there was a spear master type class in Path of the Sword or one of the other Fantasy Flight Games books.

Other than trying to map over the S&F Weapon Master/OA Kensai, that's it. Unfortunately, spears seem to get ignored as cool weapons.

Couldn't you just change the alignment restrictions of the Storm Lord?

Additionally I would rewrite the Standstill psionic feat and allow him to use that. A spear guy that can use its length to keep people at bay ... that would be sweet.

The Master Thrower from CW could make for a nasty addition to a fighter based spearman.

Masters of Arms is packed with weapon mastery classes. Each class is highly customizable, and most class abilities are also available as feats, meaning you can start working on your style ahead of time, or just grab a few feats if you don't want the PrC.

Bow & Blade has the speardancer PrC, which learns to use the spear in different ways (such as using the shaft or slashing with the tip, useful against some DR creatures.)

The Kensai, from Complete Warrior, is a weapon specialist PrC (different from the Weapons Master in Sword & Fist) that works well with spears. The Exotic Weapon Master (from the same book) is also a pretty good choice if the character chooses an exotic spear (like the Great Spear in CW). It's only 3 levels, but you can really expand your combat options with weapon stunts like Show Off, Throw Exotic Weapon, and Trip Attack. Master Thrower has already been mentioned. Storm Lord is really nice, but I'd still like to see a Thunderer type PrC built for combat-types.

If we look at d20 books, a few other PrCs come to mind. The Lancer, from AEG's WAR, is a really nice PrC for those specializing in pole arms. So it's a good choice if the character takes the Long Spear. Green Ronin's Hammer and Helm has a good PrC for those specializing in thrown weapons, called the Thunder Thrower. Even though it's their Dwarf book, this PrC isn't just for dwarves. The Battle Scion from Legendary Weapons, by the Game Mechanics, is also very nice for weapon specialists, but there's no Spear in the book. You'd have to create your own legendary spear for it.

Thrown or planted spear? Or do you want options for both?

10 level or 5 level prc? I figure 5 unless you want to do some kind of complex tree to yeild thrown or melee benefits.
