Special Conversion Thread: Aboleths

Let's see if there are any other epic feats that just seem like must-haves. We may want to aim for Improved Metamagic, perhaps some of the Automatic Metamagic feats. Improved Spell Capacity seems like a must. Epic Spellcasting, while a pain, seems thematically appropriate.

Proposal for epic feats: Improved Metamagic, Automatic Quicken Spell, Epic Spell Casting, Improved Spell Capacity (x2), Spell Knowledge (x2)? I'm pretty sure we can fulfill the prereqs for these fairly easily.

That seems pretty reasonable. I could see the soul scry and soul dominion epic spells being good fits thematically.

Just going over a few things and I noticed that the Ruler & the Grand did not have Astral Projection as a SLA, was that on purpose?

In addition, I have been puzzling over 3.0 having Astral Projection listed under psionic powers but not in 3.5. Is there any reason for that?

Would there be anything overpowered by adding Psionic Astral Projection?

That said, I see no problem giving the Grand Aboleth the ability to project astrally.

As a quick refresher

Astral Caravan & Astral Traveler replaced Probability travel. Astral Projection was in addition to that for the Grand Aboleth. Rulers only had Projection.

Hmm, there is a subtle difference, I guess, akin to the difference between summoning and calling. Ok, I'd say add a unique Su for the Grand Aboleth.

Sure, they can definitely have all of the above.

So, astral projection as at-will SLA (like many of the greater fiendish lords)?
