Special Conversion Thread: Lycanthropes and their ilk

I can be bothered. :)

That being the case, reverse the Listen and Spot ranks for the giant weresloth?

That would be fine, or go for Listen +7, Spot +4 to make the gap significant. I haven't seen any theorizing on Mylodon senses, but it feels more plausible they have much better hearing than sight - like a wild boar or tapir, which are also forest/jungle herbivores.

Yes, that logic seems sound.

Added weresloths to Homebrews.

Updated Mylodon.

Much feared in the areas they inhabit, wereweasels drain blood from their victims if they successfully bite. They are swift hunters, and are 50% likely to be found among giant weasels rather than on their own. They possess three shapes: human, giant weasel (only slightly different from the real thing), and weasel-man (something like a rat-man).

Originally appeared in Dragon Magazine #40 (1980).

Well, there's an SRD weasel, so do we just want to apply the normal lycanthrope template to that? I guess we've done similar conversions. We could apply the dire lycanthrope template to the dire weasel too, if we wish.
