Special Ops

It's good to put in a level of sorcerer or wizard too, so that they can use wands.

10 Rog 5/Wiz 1 with wands of fireball and invisibility can do wonders...

Okay, that's just odd. It's actually Atlas Games. Why it has Penumbra in big bold letters (second in size only to the name of the module) I'll never know. Sorry, about the mis information there.

IIRC, Penumbra is the campaign world that the Atlas Games adventures are set in, just like Greyhawk or the Forgotten Realms for WotC, and the Scarred Lands for Sword & Sorcery Studios.

That explains that little mystery. Thanks so very much. :D

Well, if they're Rogues, they can just use 'Use Magical Device'.

Of course, if you're going to go that far, give 'em 3 levels as a transmuter, so they can cast 'Cat's Grace' and other buffer spells.

Penumbra is actually Atlas' D20 game line, I don't think it is actually a campaign setting. Most of the Atlas products I've seen have looked very good and very adaptable.

"Three Days to Kill" is written by John Tynes (Call of Cthulhu d20, Unknown Armies, Delta Green) and is a real blast to play.

The group I play with went through this adventure a few weeks ago and had a great time. It really did feel like a Special Ops mission and was enjoyable from beginning to end.
