Just some guy
I like this guy.
Great piece of art, but for me, gnomes have pointed ears and halflings don't. This is one of the reasons why gnomes and halflings are so inter-mixed artwise. People just have different perspectives and preferences for how to differentiate them.I like this guy.

I really don't like how the 1e Drow looked, I hope they keep the 70's porn mustaches away from them.Honestly, I still think that the best way to do Art in D&D in 2024 is to have artists us ANY EDITION as their inspiration. Give us ALL the various types of halflings, drow, elves, and so on.
70's moustaches for Knights of Solamnia is fine. Drow? Less fine.I really don't like how the 1e Drow looked, I hope they the 70's porn mustaches away from them.
Aw, c'mon. Here and there it would be HILARIOUS. But yeah, I generally agree.I really don't like how the 1e Drow looked, I hope they keep the 70's porn mustaches away from them.
Get that guy a waistcoat and a long-stemmed pipe! Here are paleontological uses of AI imaging to reconstruct skeletal remains of the reallife "hobbit", Homo floresiensis. They are about a meter tall. Note the large hands and feet. There is still debate about how humanlike or bonobo-chimpanzee-like the face should be, and I am skeptical about the accuracy of AI at this point in time. But for fantasy purposes, something like these seem realistic for a Halfling species.
Huh. I had no idea a "waistcoat" is the same thing as a vest.Get that guy a waistcoat and a long-stemmed pipe!
And a second breakfast.Get that guy a waistcoat and a long-stemmed pipe!
