Here is an interesting way to go about it. Get Hide/Move Silently as class skills for a while, as well as Spot. Not that you can't do most the same stuff with a Hawk familiar (for spotting things), Invisibility (for not being spotted yourself), and a borrowed Silence from the Cleric (for not being heard).
If you Permanency Arcane Sight/Detect Magic at some point, you can see all the magic traps. Keep some (Greater) Dispel Magic handy, and you can suppress them.
Don't use Summoned critters to set off traps - they only last 1 round/level (two, if extended) - not when a lowly Unseen Servant is capable of dragging a 100 pound bag of rocks for an hour/level. And they have pseudo-hands. Get +1 Holy, +1 Axiomatic, +1 Anarchic, +1 Holy arrows (a couple of each) to put on the bag, so it sets off all alignment-based traps. Find a way to get a rat or something unconscious and on the bag as well, so it sets off traps that detect living things. Oh, and of course a spell effect dragging around magic arrows will set off traps that target magic. And the weight and motion will set off pits, floor triggers, and the like.
Knock, Telekenisis, and Open/Close should deal with trapped doors/chests... after all, you're opening them from waaaaay over there.....
Wall of Stone or Wall of Ice is very likely to be able to block off most mechanical traps.
