Spider-Man 2...and 3, 4, 5, & 6

I was watching Extra tonight, and they had some interviews with Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst about this summer release of Spider-Man 2. However, slipped in near the end was the mention that production on Spider-Man 3 has already begun...and that the studio (Paramount? I can't recall) is looking into making a total of six Spider-Man movies!

Wow! Suddenly it doesn't seem like an unrealistic hope to see Venom and Carnage! Go Spidey!

Sony has already listed a release date for Spider-man 3. 2006 , I believe. Raimi, Maguire, and Dunst will all be back for more.

I hope they show some other Marvel heroes making cameos in addition to working their way through Spidey's rogues gallery.

Wow, six movies.....That's ambitious.
Heh, when the script for Conan the Barbarian was being written, it was intended to be the first movie in a trilogy of trilogies (nine movies total). As time went on, though, John Milius simply decided to make Conan the Barbarian into a single trilogy. Despite the fact that it's been over 20 years since the original Conan the Barbarian was released, John Milius is still trying to get his Conan trilogy made (which would mean two more Conan movies, because as far as John Milius is concerned, Conan the Destroyer does not exist).

But, back to the topic. It would really be interesting to see six Spider-Man movies. Although it might be difficult to keep the actors coming back for that long, unless they pulled a LotR-style move and filmed 4, 5, and 6 all at once.

Great news, I'd love to see any number of Spidey movies. Though I agree with DarkJezter, keeping the original cast together will be hard for a total of six movies.

Well, with computer graphics what they are, the impact of LotR, Matrix, and Kill Bill, in producing multi-movies at the same time and the contact issues with stars (get-them-while-hot-and-still-look the same) it is the wise move.

Plus Spidey has a long life and appeal to be able to pull it off.

What do Americans see in Spiderman?

I enjoyed those comics when I was 10 years old, but this movie is average at best, there is nothing interesting in plot, characters and acting, even action isn`t that great. Convince me why this film is so good.
