Spiked Chain using Rogue

Wondering how this would work...

Feats (not in any order)
EWP: Spiked Chain
Vexing Flanker
Adaptable Flanker
Improved Trip

Wolf Pelt soulmeld (either via feat or Totemist class dip) bound to chakra to gain bite attack.

Assume we are ruling you can self-flank an opponent with Spiked Chain + Adaptable Flanker...

How would this work with the bite attack from the Wolf Pelt? Technically you are flanking (with the spiked chain + Adaptable Flanker) so you would get the +4 for flanking. But would it apply to the bite attack?

I was thinking Bite (+4 flanking) + Trip (+4 Imp. Trip) + follow up attack from Imp Trip (+4 flank and +4 prone target).

Is this correct? That is some good hits. Maybe forgo Rogue and make a Fighter or martial adept w/ Power Attack...

I'm not familiar with the feats your using (and, noting that it lets a rogue flank without anyone else around, I'm not sure I want to be), but yes, you should be able to get the flanking bonuses for the bite attack.

Relevant rules quote:

When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by a character or creature friendly to you on the opponent’s opposite border or opposite corner.

This is essentially the same case as a normal flanking situation, where the attacker uses an unarmed strike (and doesn't have IUS) instead of a weapon. In that case, the attacker does get the flanking bonuses. The flanking rules only specify that you must make a melee attack to flank, not that you threaten your target with that melee attack.

Vexing Flanker gives you a +4 to flanking (instead of the +2)

Adaptable Flanker is worded such that an enemy is considered flanked from any spot you threaten. So if you were 5 feet from an opponent but using a Spiked Chain, you would be flanking him from your spot plus 10 feet away from him (behind him) since you threaten behind him. I don't have the exact wording, but essentially that is how it works...

So again, my main question is, since you are flanking because of the Spiked Chain, if you make a Bite attack, would you get the flanking bonuses (+4 to hit, sneak attack, etc.)???

Since you ruled that you can flank with yourself, yes, certainly.

Well it's just weird because the only reason you are flanking is because of the Spiked Chain, yet you are using a different attack. It would seem that you would need to attack with the Spiked Chain to get the flanking benefits...

I would look at it like this:
You are threatening with the spiked chain and by your ruling that allows you to flank. While attacking with the bite as a secondary attack, you still threaten with the spiked chain. For example, if your opponent readied an action to punch you with an unarmed strike as soon as you started biting him, you could still take the attack of opportunity he provokes with your spiked chain. Since you never stopped threatening with your spiked chain, your opponent is still flanked while you are biting.

Of course, I would not let you flank an opponent by yourself in the first place, but that's not what you asked.

all size large creatures should grab combat expertise, vexing and adaptable flanker for an easy +4 to hit
thank the gods for my improved uncanny dodge :)

dont forget these two feats:
Combat Reflexes (prereq to vexing flanker) &
Combat Expertise (prereq to imp. trip)

concerning "self-flanking" (maybe solo or lone is a better term)
if you count the description of a feat as "rules" (as opposed to just the "benefits" and "special" sections) then it wouldnt work. "When you and an ally team up against a foe"
