Ah....I do not think that Chloe will be Lois Lane. However, now that the old editor is dead, no one knows who really wrote those stories.

Wouldn't it be great if Lois was offered a job by the new editor (Perry White?) because of those stories? Suddenly, she gets into journalism.

The problem with the Chloe persona being Lois is that she knows Clark too well. I think that they may kill off Chloe at some point in the series, probably at a point where she an Clark were getting close. Clark always blames himself for the loss, then he meets Lois in Metropolis later on....

As for Adam being Batman, I never even thought of that scenario, but it makes sense! They even have that rivalry going already that is so famous between them.

Exactly. Watching that scene reminded me so much of the tension between the two men in World's Finest. Pure classic stuff, neither trusts the other but they both respect the other. I think that's why I would like to see Adam be Bruce. But I doubt it will happen now.

Adam is Batman? Hmmm... maybe, but I doubt it - mainly because I don't remember Bruce needing physical therapy from losing his parents (not that that means anything - they are rearranging the timeline willy-nilly), but also because crossing IP's like that would be problematic for them.

It would be fun, though.

I also think Chloe is doomed to die at some point. Too bad, because I like the actress who plays her - there's something about those puppy-dog looks.

Yeah, well, that's where this gets cunning. There are IP issues, but the producers have been and are still trying to cut through them. In the meantime, they work Adam in. If they ever work through the IP issues, then they reveal him as "Bruce Wayne". They can string him along as "Adam" for as long as they like, and have the piece in play just in case the IP issues resolve.

Oh, and by the way, this mystery character's full name is apparently "Adam Knight". Knight. As in Dark Knight?

It's not entirely ambigous decision. He's always been a little self-centered. Just now he wants his memories back.

Yep. Yet, for almost two seasons he at least made an attempt not to throw himself into such situations by default... because that is what 'dad' does. The fact he usually did shows the effect Lionel had on him over the years after his mother died.

This ep he did not seem the least bit conflicted (as he seemed to be when trying to find things out about Clark, the goons breaking in at Luthor Corp, the meteor rock investigation after the plant incident and so on). He wants his memories back and he will do what he feels he needs to in order to retrieve them.

I feel (yep... just a feeling) Lex lost a little more than seven weeks worth of memories. Maybe, as someone else wrote, he is just waiting till Lionel slips up...
or maybe the dike has finally cracked and there will no longer be the... 'soulful' thoughtfulness he once had...

Been mentioned before about Lex offing Lionel... would be real 'soap' if he did it because Lionel could have saved his wifes life, except he did not for Lex's sake... and a healthy profit margin.

Nightfall, interesting idea about Adam being Bruce Wayne in all but Adam just doesn't strike me as dark enough nor obsessive enough... (Not to mention intelligent enough.)

It is well known that Bruce did travel the world but I couldn't imagine Chloe not being able to recognize a billionaire when she sees one. Especially when said billionaire has such a tragic past.

Plus when is the last time you saw Bruce Wayne going after a skirt? He usually breaking dates, and hearts, by being his atypical self.

I know they talked about dropping Bruce into the show, back in season one they where asked about season two and they said they where trying to do it.

Last note: Batman was named the most popular superhero for the last century in 2000 his stock is worth that much.

Also any connection to Batman and Adam West and that horrible show should be rubbed out.

EDIT: forgot something... Can't be Bruce Wayne cause how would they explain him kicking Clark’s ass, yet again, in Clark's own show?

While I like Allison Mack as an actress, I doubt they're going to recycle her to play Lois Lane.

Honestly, I always thought of Lois Lane as being too mature for Clark. If anything, I picture her being a senior and the captain of her high school cheerleader squad (with regards to Smallville current storyline), not to mentioned she is working on the high school newspaper. If anything, she's a rival to Chloe (if they met during the Daily Planet summer internship program).

BTW, if you ask me, I think Adam is an alien. (Kryptonian?) That would add an exciting element to Clark/Kal "Krypton" conspiracy. Personally, I like the way they play out the "alien conspiracy/paranoia" part, not unlike the early Silver Age comic book version where everybody totally accepted him as a Champion for Truth, Justice and the American Way, despite his alien origin.
