[Spoilers] Smallville idea!

The producers said that at the current time of Smallville, Lois Lane is in college, being a couple of years older than Clark, Lana and Chloe. And Bruce, if he does show up, would be about the same age as Lex.

You guys think they'd follow comic continuity and have Lana marry Pete Ross?

Could be BW... Though I was struck more by Lex's decision at the end. Seems to me that he is really starting the slip into ambiguity which may trigger his full force descent into the ruthless one we all 'love'.
I think Lex will take his first step into actual Evil (as opposed to just ruthlessness) in the season ender, and it will likely involve betraying Clark somehow.

My reasoning is, admittedly, relatively flimsy. In one of the Ryan episodes in season 2, Lex is telling Ryan about this comic, Warrior Angel, he's collecting. It's rather obvious that Warrior Angel is a metaphor for Superman. Lex makes a point of showing Ryan his mint condition Warrior Angel #66, in which Warrior Angel is betrayed by his best friend, who from that point on becomes his arch-nemesis. And episode 66 would be the end of season 3...

Dang, if that is not what will happen it is what should happen that was brilliant.

Indeed, nice job Staffan that theory is a real keeper. :)

I wouldn't be surprised the Show is very much into symbolisim. The episode with the blind lady from season 2(?) was a perfect example of it and by far the winner of my coolest moment award.

That was a real good ep (for me at least), and great reasoning on your part also! Those TV people like to do that sort of thing.

I would like to see the human side of Lex on last time before he turns... Soft music, pictures of his mother, a glass of milk and a fluffernutter.
One tune.
One photo album.
One bite and a single sip...

before he gives up everything he tried so hard to hold onto.

One way or another I would like it to be a concious decision on his part.

I agree that Lex will probably turn on Clark this season. We already see that Lex has decided to work with the evil psych doctor and he is beginning to do things that Clark cannot push to the sidelines.

Also, Clarke has systematically lied to Lex. I do believe that Lex will regain enough of his memory to show Clark betraying him and that will be enought to drive Lex away. He is already paranoid and Clark is the last real hold he has left to humanity.

I wonder what would have happened if Clark had been honest.

I am very interested the next week's episode. It looks like John Kent will finally have that heart attack. While I do not think he will die this season, it is the step that pushes Clark to leave.

As for Lana and Pete...no clue. I do not see it in their characters, but I could see Lana becoming close to Pete if/when Clark leaves and she finds out about his true nature. That would give them something in common, which they do not have at the moment.

Hm. That is one neat and tidy theory.

And let me tell you - coming up with such theories requires a level of anal-retentive attention to detail that if it is correct, it's almost unfair to the majority of the viewing public to put the references in. Giving us evidence, letting us think, that's cool. But giving us hints that normal humans just aren't going to be able to get isn't quite kosher, IMHO :(

I like it. My TV-fu has been trained by long, arduous hours of practice watching Babylon 5, Buffy, Angel and Stargate.
