Spring attack and haste: stop me from getting cheesy

Probably the most effective way to do this is a partial charge on the haste action, a full attack, and then a quickened dimension door to beat feet away. Interesting, and a good idea that I hadn't considered. Thanks!

Dimension strike allows does this as a 5th level psion/psychic warrior power. It's a free action to activate, but does not teleport the caster through objects.

I see someone already beat me to mentioning Dimension Strike.

I am suprised no one has mentioned Singh Rager however.

Singh Rager is a somewhat powerful PrC (some would call it unbalanced) from OA. The idea is a Barbarian-esqe character who tries to emulate cats. One of the things they gain (at some level or other) is the Pounce ability (actually I think its called Dire Charge, like in the ELH, but it works the same.)

The PrC has even been used in a couple of Smackdowns. Charge Up, Full Attack, Attack some more with Haste and what not. Nasty combo. :D

How about using the hustle power?

Round 1: Haste, hustle
Round 2: Partial charge in (from hustle,) full attack, move out (from haste)

The cool thing about this combo is that you don't even need Spring Attack to pull it off. The downside is that you waste the previous round manifesting Hustle. Try taking Persistent instead of SA and using it on Hustle. The Sage (and others) has ruled that you can then take your Hustle action anytime in the next 24 hours.

A dorje of Quickened Hustle would do it too.

A tactic I like to use is spring attack, then quickdraw a throwing weapon, such as a dagger or hand axe, and throw it with the haste action. You could do it with a bow, too, but then you're stuck with a bow in your hands and must either drop it or use an action to stow it away again.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but a hasted fighter with a "speed" weapon could move, get two attacks (in his standard action) and then move again.

Nope.

The additional attack from a speed weapon doesn't stack with haste.

ed: Whoops - "After using this spell, the character can’t take any other actions until the character's next turn."

No problem, though. Partial move, full attack, free action DD away - even better, no AoO that way, perhaps, since it is a free action.

A bladesinger can cast one of his bladesinger spells as a free action, provided he makes a full attack. And dimension door is a 4th-level bladesinger spell.

So you can have that combo in a good melee fighter. (In fact, I play a bladesinger, and I haven't thought of that possibility. I think I'll use it a couple of times

You beat me to it.
I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned, either.

Since I've just used it in the SMACK Thread (In-Character forum) recently, I can say it was shocking when I finally added up all the damage a Divine Shield-ed Singh Rager can put out. :D

Of course, that was including every supplement imaginable, but still, it was over 5000 damage in a round.

And I want to point out: Dire Charge sucks in comparison to Lion's Pounce.
Dire Charge only allows a full attack in the first round of combat.
Lion's Pounce is "Lion's Pounce (Ex) : At 4th level, a singh rager can make a full attack at the end of a charge."

Now while this thread has been inactive for a while, I was thinking about some of the initiative rules and had the following thought:

delay until after opponent's initiative
haste partial charge
full round action - refocus (almost certainly moving you ahead of the opponent on initiative, unless they have a good modifier and rolled very well)
full-round attack
haste partial move away

No special powers, quickened dimension doors, or other foolishness needed....

Some things.

I don't think you can move on your Hasted action. Atleast not a 5' step; I thought you only got 1 move per round (Except with spring attack).

And with the Fly spell, you can't charge. You can double move, but not charge.
