Stacking Bacon of Hope & Healer's Lore into a BLT

First Post
"B"acon of Hope (Cleric class feature) I meant to spell it like that btw :D
Effect: …your healing powers restore +5 hit points until the end of the encounter.

Healer’s "L"ore (Cleric daily power):
When you grant healing with one of your cleric powers that has the healing keyword, add your Wisdom modifier to the hit points the recipients regain.

I’d say they’d stack, seeing that the keyword matches, daily powers are supposed to pack a punch, and if someone chooses to be a cleric why not let them have a moment…"T"houghts?

If a power has the healing keyword, you get the wisdom bonus to the healing. No brainer.

Correct. You do not magically get your Wisdom bonus twice, though.

So with 20 Wisdom:

Normally your Word of Healing packs 1d6+5 (from Wisdom)+Healing Surge healing.

If you cast Beacon of Hope, that instantly heals everyone 5+5 (from Wisdom) damage.

Now if later in the same encounter you use Word of Healing, it would give 1d6+5(from Wisdom) + 5 (from Beacon of Hope's +5 bonus to healing) + Healing Surge healing.

Based on a character that the OP built with incorrect math in it, I believe that he thinks that it would double dip and get Wisdom modifier twice to all further healing, but that isn't correct.

I know that post count doesn't necessarily relate to correctness(tm) but someone with over 38,000 posts has commented on a cleric I built by saying:

"Beacon of Hope does heal everyone 10 HP, but you don't apply Healing Lore to the amount of extra HP gained because that isn't healing HP."

So I was curious.

EDIT:Never mind...hunted down by a ninja.

You are correct. I almost posted this very same explanation, but then thought "nah, it's edge case and probably not what the OP is asking, I won't muddy the waters." :D

The key is that Healer's Lore says "when you grant healing with one of your cleric powers that has the healing keyword." The extra +5 healing from Beacon of Hope isn't granting healing, it's increasing the healing done by other powers.

Indubitably.
