Stan Nicholls' "Orcs: First Blood" Trilogy

Anyone read this? I picked up the first book in the series a few years ago in trade paperback, and read about half of it. For whatever reason, I got distracted and didn't finish, but I'll probably pick it up again and try to get through it to see if it's worth moving on to the next two books in the series.

Although I didn't know it at the time, it is strongly reminiscent of Glen Cook's Black Company in writing style and thematic elements, although it also has some clear differences; including the fact that almost all of the main characters are orcs.

Anyway, I'm just trying to see what folks think of these books, if they've read them.

With two days and no replies, I'm guessing no one has read this?

Well, I tried my best, but found myself unable to read it - not my cup of tea (for instance, the orcs aren't really orcs IMHO).

And I didn't know it's a trilogy.
