Standard 3.5 D&D - Higher Level?

I'll probably shoot myself later...

If you want, I can DM. It will be a bit before I actually have the rules, but if the SRD is being updated, that will do.

Let me think about it for a few days and I'll get back to you on particulars.

Whoohoo!

Here are some questions that come to mind off the top of my head:

1. Point Buy? How many?
2. Sources? Core books only? Splat Books? Savage Species? Manuel of the Planes? Psionics?*
3. Level
4. Starting Gold
5. Setting?
6. House Rules?

* If using psionics, how about If Thoughts Could Kill, Mindscapes, and The Minds Eye.

Hmm... well I'm not sure if I'm still on the player's list but if I am I was thinking of bringing my oldest and favourite character out of retirement, Tharivol the emotionless Elven Monk... He has a definite death wish but he can't die honorlessly, his village was wiped out by an unknown force a month after his epiphiny hit and now all he sees is chaos... I dunno, always liked the concept myself, not to mention I've used the character in several campaigns and once in a Gladiotorial contest... he always seams to win, it's wierd...

I was thinking of an elven Ranger/Barbarian, which are two classes that I'm keen to see how they work out in 3.5E. I'm planning on making an elf who goes a bit against type, quite aggressive and ready to seek out battle, with a militant greenie bent if appropriate to the party/campaign.

For me it would be a dwarven fighter and/or cleric. Mostly likely cleric. But my final decision will be a few days yet until I get my books to peruse everything.

I'm thinking of trying a new concept me + some friends worked up, but it relies on several spells that I think may be getting revised, so I'll have to check the new PHB when the SRD gets updated.

If that don't work, I'll go with a Lvl 14 Fgtr (Archer)
