Star Wars d20 - homebrew rules?

I think you could quite easily apply the Fate system to Star Wars. "Jedi" or "Strong in the Force, is he" could be aspects. "Smuggler with a heart of gold" or "Rebel princess" would be as well.

Here's a system for using the Dark Side via Fate: The Dark Side

I'd use SW d20 rules and allow characters to get 1 bonus feat per one or two levels in Star Wars d20. This makes it for the fragmentation of character abilities into feats, feats and yet more feats.

In my free time I'm working on a alternate system for the Force :P

Its very much not ready to show off yet... but if it works like I think it will... :D

Cool, there's a thread called "Star Wars 2.0" which actually has some of the stuff I'm looking for: ideas for interpreting races, feats, etc here:

The general "License to Improvise" forum has several threads on this topic. Thanks for the tip!

Yep, and there's more coming! I have to polish off the Dark and Light Side powers, do some gear and we're pretty much set. The rest is taken care of by Spycraft 2.0  Keep watching the thread...

May I suggest...

Hey I am looking for a set of Star Wars d20 rules that anyone's developed on their own, i.e. a homebrew version versus purchasing the WOTC books, something that presents someones own interpretation of the Star Wars universe. I just had a hunch that someone may have a boiled down set of rules for running Jedi & Sith, droids, and the Star Wars races. If there is a set of rules online, can someone provide a link? Thanks.

Mainly I am looking for something a little more streamlined and straightforward than the WOTC system. The KOTOR games are a move in the right direction of what I am talking about here, though that system is fairly combat focused in terms of most of the Jedi powers.

Personally, I'd suggest using either Bad Axe Games' Grim Tales or D20 Modern (available in its own SRD) with Green Ronin's Psychic's Handbook for the Force powers and D20 Future (also available in the D20 Modern SRD) for tech. It wouldn't take much at all to create a system that gives you what you want.

Hope this suggestion helps,
Flynn
