Star Wars Saga/D&D 5th Hybrid [OOC/Rolls]

Crap somehow in the houserules the Firing into Melee combat was deleted again. Basically thats the whole point of Precise Shot feat. So when you make a Ranged Attack roll against a target that is in melee with an ally you are at disadvantage to your attack roll. This time will not enforce it BUT going forward just remember that. I am updating the front page with that...

Nice job Shayuri! Since you get to see the roll before deciding to spend the FP, you should be able to say you didn't spend that particular FP with a roll of 19. Obviously keep the damage increase one. I think it was just enough to drop Uthall.

With the dark side point expenditure, I think Sezarious only has a 5% change of changing the outcome of Jihahna's attack by rolling a 1 with disadvantage. So, if you want us to roll that one, I'm pretty confident we'll be okay...

Oh you do? Cool! I didn't realize you got to see the roll first. Nice.

In this case, since I'm pretty sure he ain't getting back up, I'll blast him back into the tunnel. A little special delivery demoralizer for his men.

Just a quick question here...

To hit:
_: 1D20+7 = [5]+7 = 12

Not enough... Well then... Spending a DARK SIDE point.

_: 2D8+1 = [8, 3]+1 = 12

Equals 24 total to hit

Damage:
_: 3D8+6 = [5, 4, 4]+6 = 19

When you say spending a Dark Side point I am a bit confused. You have Strong in the Force and that allows you to spend 2 Force Points on a roll (so 2d8+2 as each is 1d8+1), but are you thinking something else? There is nothing in Saga about Force Points being used as Dark Side points as far as I known (I could be missing it). It could be you are just going descriptive favor and if so cool :) if not... what are you referring to?

Oh man, I had no idea when it said you could spend two force points that it meant you could spend two on a roll and add them together. I was thinking it meant you could spend two force points to gain two different effects, like what Shayuri wanted to do. Well that opens a few new possibilities with Force Boon and Strong in the Force...

I swear there's a mechanic i've read somewhere. Firstly I think I meant 'spending a force point but drawing from the dark side'.

Secondly, ok on reading up on this, damn! Saga removed it! It was a wonderful, simple bread and butter rule that allowed you to declare that you were 'drawing from the dark side' and it gave you an extra die to roll, but as a result, you copped a dark side point. It was a constant lingering temptation for the players and a great role-play tool that it would seem is only in 'star wars d20'. In addition, someone with 'strong in the force' could roll up to 4d8, but would gain 2 dark side points.

Actually Greenkarl, there isn't a mechanic I could more strongly recommend. The thing that makes players scared to draw from the dark side is their fear of becoming an npc.
