So a couple of additional random thoughts I was having...

Jihahna will probably want to modify the Imperial Sith armor that she and Cal are wearing cause otherwise it can get you shot in a lot of place. You should be able to modify it enough with Tech Specialist without a roll.

She can also give a few more bonuses to at least one piece of non-Lightsaber tech for all the other players. Something like a +1 to attack with a blaster, or +2 skill bonus with some device or another, etc. Depending on what you all want...

On that side, the gand would like that +1 please, :) And maybe a bipod (star wars grav unipod?) so that he/she can fire from prone without penalties...?

Star Wars Saga/D&D 5th Hybrid [OOC/Rolls]

In the extended universe, tech-based powers do exist actually. As a rule though, they are more likely tied in with the dark side. A semi-canon example involves Darth Vaders suit, which in EU was created with the assistance of Sith sorcery.

Control of machinery through the wave of a hand I'm pretty sure was a potential Sith power.

But Jedi Sentinels in some literature can gain some small access to machine influencing powers. If I remember though, there are some greater risks in falling to the dark side.

Something to do with hanging around machines too much can lead the Jedi to thinking machines are better, therefore lose their connection to organics. Anakin had that theme going, though he was officially a guardian instead of sentinel.

His black and white view of wanting to be able to fix bigger problems like he could fix a machine is that sort of philosophy.

binder So you would effectively become what's called a Findsman....

http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Yuun

Even in an organization as diverse as the Republic Army, Yuun stands out. A member of the Gand species and hailing from the Gand homeworld, Yuun is a Findsman, a type of shamanistic tracker held in very high regard among his people. He applies his unusual training to technical tasks of every kind, resulting in a success record unmatched by any other technician in the military. As effective as Yuun’s methods are, they rarely meet with understanding or approval from his fellow soldiers. But despite his eccentricities, Yuun’s fighting skill and calm approach to any challenge generally earn at least the grudging respect of the men and women he serves with.

Whatever the janwuine want is good with the gand.

What does this mean in terms of stats though, if anything? Would this come with a name, or is that too soon?

----

Re the perfect custom carbine, I'm now thinking that would include +1 tohit, grav unipod (no disadv when firing prone) and a quick-extend folding stock (Extend and retract stock as a free action (if succeed at a Dex check?)).

Whether he/she can get all that 1. at all and 2. all at once, I wouldn't know... GK?

cool.... now you have to decide what to do with the prisons.

I think what the plan is that the heroes will stick around the planet for a couple of weeks to make sure the Republic and Czerka treat the Kwi correctly and drill in the correct place, etc

The Reks will leave and tglass's character will arrive and join up and we will eventually move to the second adventure arch...

It looks like I'll be joining in a bit.

I was wondering if Jor and Kacela know each other, even if just in passing. Jor Dan is a Miraluka, and even in this time there wouldn't have been too many Miralukan Jedi. Usually, they stayed on their planet, or sometimes came and taught about the Force as guest lecturers, but only a few actually became Jedi.

And his expulsion from the Order could have been used as a cautionary tale, I think, to those who begin to study the dark side, so I feel there would be rumors about him floating through the Academy, at least, if not the Jedi as a whole. Misconceptions about his opinions on the Dark Side, and speculations that he actually fell and/or even joined the Sith. None of which is true, his interest is still academic at this time and he has not yet turned to experimentation, but that wouldn't stop the rumors.

I can very easily think that Kacela might know of Jor in that case...I don't know if he would know of her. She was one of many padawans there, and her potential was largely untapped and thus unrecognized. Still they could have met on chance. These stories are full of convenient coincidences after all. :)
