IMHO, it really seems that the design philosophy behind True20 has had a seroius impact on game design at Wizards.
I think it's a matter of perspective. Cthulhu d20 already uses a minimal amount of character classes and uses generation mechanics similar to what True20 would do but much later, IMO.Warbringer said:IMHO, it really seems that the design philosophy behind True20 has had a seroius impact on game design at Wizards.

By your "using miniatures" comment, I can only guess that you consider AoO's to be all about moving your character around grids. Since AoO's are not necessarily about movement, I think you're underming your own case. You basically memorize the list of things that do and don't provoke them, and they're kind of arbitrary.Roman said:I fail to understand why attacks of opportunity are so malaligned and perceived as so complex. If you are using miniatures, adjudication should be pretty easy and if you are not using them (my own case until now) than you only use them when you rule that enemies are adjacent. I just don't see why they seem to pose so many problems.
It's kind of a silly arguement, but I'll contribute anyway by positing Darth could make the 25 DC pretty effortlessly.pawsplay said:Do you want to fail that Tumble check as you tumble past an armed Jedi, however?
