[Star Wars] Software for scrolling text?

shadowlight

First Post
So my gaming group is going to start a Star Wars campaign (or two) and I'd love to start out each session with a video clip of scrolling yellow text on a starfield (with starwars music playing in the background of course).

Does anyone know of a good free software package that can do this?

Thanks!!

How about Microsoft Movie Maker 2? I can't remember, but I think it does moving titles. It's free for XP users.

When I was in college (a couple of years ago) I found a program that was a lot like Adobe Premier but free (lets you render text, non-linear audio & video editing, etc.) .. but I don't remember what it's called. However, I just found a program called Jahshaka (http://www.jahshaka.com/) that looks like it may do the same thing. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet though...

I use a mix of Adobe Photoshop and Flash MX. If you check out TheForce.net/theater, and look under tutorials, you might be able to find something there.

None of those tutorials are for freeware, though, or for software packages that are common.
There's actually a tutorial for Blender. It's a free 3D graphics package that's quite powerful. The only problem is that the interface is kind of obtuse. Fortunately there's a lot of documentation on Blender's website...
