Star Wars UNLEASHED figures

Revenge of the Sith has renewed my interest in Star Wars collecting after years of indifference. So I just started perusing Hasbro's (what happened to Kenner?) line of UNLEASHED figures. How freaking sweet are these? Does anyone here collect these? Any comments?

Are any figures more commonly prized by collectors than others?

P.S. Is this the right forum for this? Shouldn't there be a forum for memorabilia, toys, and collectibles? I'm sure gamers collect a ton of genre stuff.

I love these things. I've got most of them, but the few I don't have are older ones and I'll probably never get a hold of them.

Sad news is, the next wave (Stormtrooper Han, RotS Clonetrooper, and RotS Chewbacca) is the LAST of the regular line. They're converting it to a much smaller scale due to costs.

Yeah I saw that they were discontinuing them. On one hand its a bummer but on the other it just makes it that much easier to collect the entire series. Not that I want to though. So which ones don't you have? And which three would you say are your favorites?

I've got all of them except the Stormtrooper, red marked Clone Trooper, and Return of the Jedi Luke. Actually, that's not true...I don't have Bossk, Tusken Raider, or IG-88, but I don't really want them anyway.

As for favourite...I LOVE the new Anakin/Obi-Wan and Grievous. But I'd probably have to say overall favourite are the Boba Fett(jetpacking out of the sarlacc), "I Am Your Father" style Dark Vader, and the new Anakin.

Oh, and discontinuing it doesn't make it easier to get all of them. The older ones(Jango Fett, Darth Maul, etc) are insanely hard to get these days. Ebay is about it for all but the latest waves(or Tusken Raiders) and those prices are so high its just not funny.

I meant easier to collect as far as numbers go. Looks like there's about 32 or 33, which is an easier number to acquire than if they'd released a hundred of them.

I like the ones you mentioned. I'll probably pick up the new Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Palpatine vs. Yoda. After that it'll come down to how hard they are to find and how much room I have to display them.

How do you display so many? Or do you keep them stacked in their boxes to preserve them?

Sadly, I don't display all of them. After moving out of my mother's house and then a move to Britain and then back to the States...most of them are still in boxes. I do have a good amount of shelf space, however, and the Yoda one sits right next to my sink. Also have a top of a bookcase that has a few up there.

I'd have more room to display them if the RotS figures weren't so good. A squad of Clone Troopers, Grievous and his guards and a Senate/Royal guard are taking up space that could easily fit two more Unleashed.

Oh, and if you can find it, I'd recommend trying to get a hold of the AotC Obi-Wan, the old Clone Troopers(red striped or normal), and the Hoth Luke. Honestly, there's few I don't like so its hard not to keep naming the ones that are cool...even Bossk and the Tusken are cool, just aren't really great compared to most of the others.

The Unleashed line will be back in '06...seems Hasbro picked up on the fact that shrinking the line down to little tiny things wasn't such a great idea after all, and we'll be getting more of the good old big ones.

General Grievous is not only the baddest Star Wars villian sice Darth Vader himself, but he has the coolest action figure as well!
