No, I have no familiarity with Photoshop, unfortunately.

Edit: Man I am dumb. What I do have is a touch screen, so I might be able to swing even uglier but quick and dirty maps drawn "by hand" the way one would with an erasable map.

GIMP is free and layers are your friend. Even if you use only one layer for the map. Being able to move the characters around without erasing the underlying map is useful.

gimp.org.

Is there a problem with the game? Are you guys losing interest already or have you just not been able to post for a few days?

Nothing wrong with the game. I may have overestimated the amount of time I have to post; I usually do so at work but recently quite a few days I wasn't at work or was too busy. Sorry about that. I expect that after this weekend it'll be better.

Ah, okay. Just wanted to check in. Would be neglectful of me as a DM running an off the cuff game to not check in and see that everything is okay if there is a pause in play.

Been reading the IC thread while I wait.

Great game.

A ship with no engines. A really elegant idea. So much potential. I like it.

Thanks! I thought it was kind of sneaky, dirty, or underhanded, but I will take "really elegant" , .

The Viridian Horse seems like a fairly major prize - a larger merchant vessel based on military a design (with all the potential for upgrading that this seems to imply).

When I saw the bit about the engines missing, a whole vista of challenges and opportunities opened before my minds eye. The whole set up seems inherent with gaming potential.

I was hooked. How would this all play out?

Maybe a little bit sneaky. But very elegantly so.

I'm not complaining, but I thought we used group initiative before. What changed?

I think perhaps I got a little antsy about a tougher fight with the enemy going first. I suppose since it has been several days I will switch back to that original intention and I will update.

Just a heads up I am going on vacation next week with limited internet access and time. Will post as I can but might be limited in my ability till I get back the following weekend.
