Oh c'mon! Yes it is! lol. We all know that the Stargate TV show is just a fictionalization of real events to make us think its all just a tv show and not real! But it is!

Sounds more like NORAD got nervous about all the alien incursions, and left Cheyenne Mountain to the SGC whole-stock. That whole thing about "support personnel" remaining on-staff is just a cover.

I wonder if they'll mention this at all in the show. I assume they won't change sets or anything and will, at most, say that the skeleton crew left at Cheyenne Mountain includes their entire operation but it'd be neat to see real life events having an effect on the show.

The US Government never ceases to amaze me with their lack of foresight and low level of intelligence. I suppose that in a few years they will realize their mistake and go and build another facility like NORAD at a cost of hundreds of billions of tax payer dollars.
