Stargate SG-1 February 4 2005 Spoiler Talk

Subject seemed like a good idea :p

So do you think the writers have taken into account this episode into future episodes of SG-1 or even Atlantis? I mean either that pyramid capital ship had heavy battle damage or the Puddle Jumper of the ancients is on a completely new power level as far as firepower goes. Or maybe that truly was a few (2?) lucky shots.

And now SG-1 apparently has a time travel device.

And what will happen when the system lords finally settle their "dispute"?

What episode is this? I've been following the show on Sky's schedule and it's a couple
of episodes ahead. Is this 'Good to be King', the one with Maybourne?

As for the system lords, want rumours/potentional spoilers? They will not spoil the next
couple of episodes or any details, this is large scale stuff:

This season will end the reign of the system lords. Next season will deal with the
ancients and their history. Who were they, where did they come from and what
triggered their downfall. We will get a new big bad (although whether this is a New
Concept BB or Old Concept With a New Spin BB is unknown) and large scale cast
change: Ben Browder of Farscape fame is joining SG-1 and RDA will be demoted to
recurring status.

Largely unsupported rumours say that Beu Bridges will join the show as the SGC's new
commander in chief. Same rumours say that next season will tie the legend of Arthur
and Camelot into the Ancient storylines.

I was digging this episode until the one shot ending. I swear, that was the worst possible ending they could have gone with. Ah well, the episode wasn't as annoying as last week's.

I'd give it a B-, if I don't watch the destruction of the mother-ship, it jumps up to about a B+/A-.

Honestly, the quick destruction of the mothership wasn't a problem for me. Ancient technology could easily be that strong. What DID kind of bother me is...what happened to the puddle jumper?!

Yes, Maybourne is a king, of sorts.

It was either a suped up puddle-jumper or a lucky shot. Either way this was clearly targeted to be a comedy episode. I chuckled in a couple of places, not a bad one, not the best.

I'm guessing this is the last we'll see of the time-travel puddlejumper. Hopefully, I'll be wrong.

It was okay, but it was one of those episodes where as soon as I saw it sevelope I was expecting it to go in anthoer direction.

I was thinking that since the Atlanteans had to time travel to the present time to know what was going to happen, that the puddle jumper was in fact there in the future with the Atlantean. And not left over from many melenia ago.

I was waiting for the Atlantean to step out of the group, because they had to see the combat to know the result. ;)

That's what I was waiting for as well. Not to mention if they take the puddle jumper, how is the Ancient (I don't think he would be an Atlantean, that was just one of thier cities) going to get back to the past?
