Stargate SG-1 new season

The new season of Stargate starts tonight on Sci-Fi. I am looking forward to it. Does anyone know if Sci-Fi will show the old episodes as well, and if the syndicated version will continue for another year to catch up with where Sci-Fi is starting. There is a year I am missing since I don't have cable movie channels.

I'm a little curious about that as well. Hopefully SciFi can show the older episodes, since I never even watched the show to start. so the first ep od Stargate was confusing but interesting. Farscape was bizarre and not in a good way, but I'll give it some time.

It crossed my mind while watching the season premiere that someone who hadn't followed the show's fifth season on Showtime (or downloads...) would have no clue about most of the changes.

To answer questions:

uv23 - No, Jack wasn't possessed. The major event of the finale was the Asgard's Thor being captured by the Goa'uld Osiris (under the orders of Anubis) and the SG1 with the aid of Asgard Heimdell launching a rescue. Thor was in a coma at the end of the episode, and had vital information downloaded from him to Anubis.

BrownJenkin - SciFi plans to run the series as a daily strip (starting from episode 1) beginning in September.

Also I should point out that almost all of Stargate seasons 2-5 are available on Region 2 DVD if you have a multisync/multiregion player (which typically runs around 200$ now).

Region 1 (the native NTSC/USA version) of Season 2 will be released in a boxed set on September 3rd.

But remember how at the end of the episode, as they walk through the door, Jack gives the stargate a really strange/evil look? Was it just over acting perhaps? I thought there was something else going on there.
