1. The Ori and their followers are awesome demonic baddies.
2. Stargate always had a great balance of SciFi and Fantasy that allowed it to stay SciFi but incorporate fantasy elements. I fear that as awesome as the Ori are, they might overly upset the balance. Others may disagree, but IMHO high magic and high technology should be kept separate.
3. The ungratefulness of the Jaffa is irritating and hard to fathom. I think the show is trying too hard to track with current events, while ignoring the inherant differences (such as the fact that the jaffa rebellion was internally developed while nurtured by earth, not imposed upon it).
A couple years ago, while certain events were going on or about to, the show suddenly moved from "the Gould/Jaffa are bad guys and need to be defeated" to "lets kill off the evil leaders, get them to abandon their evil religion, and take up liberal democracy." Now, considering whats going on, suddenly its "the Jaffa have so strong a cultural preference for thuggery, incredibly irrational bigotry, and dictatorship --so much so that they prefer some jack@$$ first prime of a third-rate gould over Tealc, a living legend and founder of their movement."
Apparently this inter-Jaffa politics will be going on for quite a while. I want action hero and inspirational figure Teal'c back rather than the Jaffa Achmed Chalabi we have now.
