So we've got:

Brian, "The Brain" (Anthony Michael Hall): He's a NERD. Class would be COMPUTER GEEK, though back-dated to 1980's...think maybe MATH GEEK.

Andrew, "The Athlete" (Emilio Estevez): He's a JOCK. Class would be FOOTBALL PLAYER.

Allison, "The Basket Case" (Ally Sheedy): She'd probably be a GOTH. Y'know, back-dated to 1980's style, but with the same intense "profound social misfit" angle. Class would be MALL RAT.

Claire, "The Princess" (Molly Ringwald): She's a VALLEY TEEN. Class, of course, ULTIMATE MALL CITIZEN (though perhaps by the end of the movie she has fallen!)

Bender, "The Criminal" (Judd Nelson): He's an ANARCH. The class is a tough fit, but I'd say MALL RANGER works well.

Yeah, if you're going to use game comparisons for this movie, use the game that was *designed* with the Breakfast Club as one of its inspirations.

Wow, is there egg on my face. I've never actually watched The Breakfast Club, even though it is on my list of movies to watch. When I worked on M&M in high school, I hadn't even seen Mallrats, although since viewing it before M&M went d20 in 2001, it has heavily inspired me.
