"Well that wasn't so bad, was it?" Aremus asked Ordrar with his usual enthusiasm. The dwarf shot back a glare that momentarily silenced the talkative half-elf. It wasn't long though, before he ventured, "Anyone want to suggest a plan for how we ought to proceed?"

Dren dismounted his pony, happy to have his feet on solid ground again. He studied the giant steading.

“Send in the tressym an’ the halfling t’ check it oot,” Dren suggested, looking over at Carolina and Fistan. “Can we set up in bowshot an’ still maintain cover?”

The journey to Grudd Haug is rough for Tranio in the morning after, and he has a hard time keeping food down. By midday, though, he is telling stories again and back to his mostly cheery disposition.

The sight of the massive building before them, makes him pause. "Splitting up is a way to find a quick death," he advises. "That's not an argument against, of course, but those who go will face a particular challenge. We could approach along the main entrance there to the right. Perhaps observing to see who might be occupying that little house by the dam? That might be a place to start."

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Ordrar grumbles at the pony whole way, but nothing in particular comes to the party.
He livens up once the house is spotted.

"Was this here before the giants came?" he asks their guide..."If army is encamped downriver, we could do some serious damage by releasing the dam. On the other hand, if they are preparing to clean the valley by releasing this, we need to weaken it so it releases the extra water quickly, but not catastrophically. We can do that from the opposite shore, no need to bother the inhabitants..."

"Rillix can go in on his own." Fistan volunteers in response to Dren and Tranio's words, "We'll at least have an idea of what's in there then."

He dispatches Rillix and begins rubbing some salt between his thumb and forfinger. For the next few minutes, those close to Fistan hear whispered gibberish float through the air and tendrils of soot dance between his fingers as his hands trace the delicate movements of arcane practice

OOC: 1. An aerial view to see what's inside the palisade
2. A peek through a window to see what's inside the main building.
3. A quick scout of a few of the "caves" to see whats underneath - from the picture it looks like water pouring out of some of them.

In that order and depending on the time we spend looking at Grud Haug
