Storming the Ship

Malachi finishes up stripping the leather armor from the prisoners. As the fates would have it, one of the jerkins fits Malachi rather well. Wakil can fit into the other one, but it will be very tight.

[sblock=OOC]At one time swim checks were affected by weight. I guess that's changed in 3.5? I wonder why...

Waiting on Druke...

If Wakil chooses to wear the armor, the armor will provide +1 AC, 5 max dex, -1 ACP.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]That changed in 3.5 because it was too complicated otherwise.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]So, you guys are swimming, I take it? We'll assume you have the armor on...[/sblock]

The two compainions slip into their new armor. Malachi has to help Wakil with his, as it is very tight. They then slip silently into the water, stroking true and sure for where they know the ship to be.

Before we get to the ship let me know so I can hail it. That way they know there are friendlies coming aboard and we are not with those that just attacked.

Halfway to the ship, a great splash echos across the water. A little later, smaller splashes, like someone rowing a boat, reach the two swimmers' ears, along with a soft call. "Marg? Franco? Are ye there, mates? I can't see a thing in this blasted fog!" Neither can our two heroes make out anything other than themselves, but it sounds like the boat and the whisperer are a bit to the left and heading for shore.

Malachi turns to Wakil and says quietly, "If they are more of the hooligans, we should try to stop them." Louder, he makes a groan and starts to swim towards the rowboat.
[sblock=OOC]Do we know whether or not the hooligans have distinctive clothing or colors? We the two that attacked us distinctive somehow?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]They weren't overly distinctive, though they were dressed all in black with black cloths wrapped around their heads and hiding their faces. However, their clothes were disparit, not like a uniform or anything.[/sblock]

Wakil

"I agree. We both need to try to board from opposit sides...remeber last time when we tried to get in a rowboat from one side." matching Malachi's volume.

Wakil also changes coarse towards the smaller boat and lets out a little gurgle cough like somebody haveing trouble staying afloat.

"Harri, is that you? Marg? Franco?" The rowing slows and our boys in the water can hear the sounds of wood bumping gently against wood. Then, quietly and silently a dark, low rowboat glides out of the fog. Up in the bow a man is crouched with his hands on the gunnels of the prow, peering intently into the white mist. "Who's there? Harri? Marg? Franco? I can't see a thing. Where are you?"
