Str 2 -- can I peel an orange?

I'm guessing you're playing a lich who didn't undergo the ritual until he was 83?

Yes, you can peel an orange, but not at the same time you're carrying a backpack.

A person with a strength of 2 should be bedridden. Seriously.

i disagree.

a person can lift double their maximum load off the ground but only stagger around with it.

that means 40 lbs for str 2.

i amazed at people who come in my studio and cannot lift a box of clay (50 lbs).

i think his bigest problem will be a medium load, as little as 7 lbs, will cut his movement rate.

i think the strength scores are the most obviously leaning towards heroic stats. str 10 is low average, and that person can put 100 lbs over their head. i think most people can't do half that.

all imho (except the numbers :) )

What class are you?

Gnome wizard (illusionist)

And its for 3.0, if that matters.

And I decided not to use weapons (I want to carry around my spellbook!). I mean, is 1 point of damage really going to be that big of a deal? If it is vital, I can take the Aoo and try for 1 point of subdual damage from my tiny little fist. A light crossbow would be great for damage, but it weighs so much!

I went for a toad familiar. The idea of a familiar that was stronger than I was seemed disturbing somehow. :)

Average humans have strength of 9...races with a minus to strength have an average strength of 7. I would say our little friend is in the bottom 5% of his race.

What are his other stats? Does he have a means of vertical movement beyond himself, because otherwise he's screwed in a cave or more dungeons if any climbing is involved.

Otherwise, since movement isn't "tied" to Strength beyond a character with 0 Str, you're fine; you just need to have high stats otherwise to compensate -- as an Illusionist, I'm hoping you've got some massive Int, Wis, Cha, and Dex numbers, else you're gonna run out of spells, run out of guile, and run out of ways to dodge all the things that are coming at you. And with the way you hit, you might as well be giving the opponent's HP...
