stupid (?) question on d20 Future

I'm prepare to take some hits for this but here goes...

Does d20 Future require the d20 Modern rulebook?

I don't really know much about either but I'm very interested in checking them out, especially Future. I'm getting a little burned out on D&D. Thanks for answering my stupid question!

Yes it does.

On the plus side it seems quite well laid out and intersting and got me thinking about Sci-fi settings.

Future is an add-on for Modern. So, you need Modern to use Future, but you can get most of Modern online at the Wizards' website and other places.

The SRD online probably has most everything you'd need, though I personally like to have the book.
