Now that we have an actual, concrete date for the playtest, and news of what it will entail...

All of a sudden I have lost interest in speculation. I don't know why this should be, since we knew the playtest was coming - yet somehow it just got real.

Thing is, the initial playtest, being of pregenned 1st level characters, still isn't going to answer a lot of questions. But at least it will give us hard data to speculate with.

Am I the only one?

I notice that I've been trying to avoid "leaked information" so it won't color my impression of the rules when I recieve them. Which, I suppose, has kept me from speculating much.

I still speculate, but it is narrow band speculation. I am very much looking forward to tearing apart the playtest and turn speculation into bug hunting. Hopefully, there will be a consistent revise and release schedule. I guess if the bugs are big enough any sort of schedule will be out the window and we will be working out base mechanics for a good long time.
